Community connections and meaningful relationships create a sense of belonging that benefits the communities we belong to. Our programs are designed to get people involved in their community and to deepen and expand their social connections. We offer a variety of fun programs based on your interests and ideas. Social Connections are social and recreational programs designed specifically for transition age young adults and older. We’ll include peers who have the same interests and desires to get out and explore the great places in our own backyard and community.
Community Life Club: Give back, take pride, be leaders and contribute to your community and have fun while diving into community service and philanthropy projects. TL2C has partnered with the NSYMCA and District 225 for transition-age adults 18 and older to develop identities as contributing and valued community members.
Next Chapter Book Club: Expect to have a lot of fun as we dive into a story together and discuss its characters and plot. Club starts with members having the option to buy a snack or dinner and time to connect with other members, FRIENDS! After, the club reads by taking turns and all reading levels are welcomed. Our trained facilitators use strategies that are inclusive to all. We hope to share in the magical adventure of literature with you!
This class is partnered with Fitness Fun. After we enjoy reading our book, we will enjoy some fitness. We will enjoy Yoga taught by Pam Tokowitz.

Girlfriends Group and WerQ: Join friends, share thoughts and feelings about friends and relationships, dine out, create things, play games and volunteer with fun-loving girlfriends!

Healthy Night Out: Set a fitness goal for your 30-minute walk and enjoy the company of your friends while eating a healthy, budget conscientious dinner with your friends.
Community Events are outings in the community designed specifically for transition age young adults and older. Our community events are open to all adults. We’ll partake in local community events and visit places of interest. There is no registration fee.
Happenings in the community are a great way to meet new friends and get familiar with new places in the community. A TotalLink2 Community coach will be on hand to promote a sense of community and help everyone feel comfortable and confident.
Karaoke Meetup: Join us for our next Meetup at the Rock House in Glenview for a night of karaoke fun. This program meets the 2nd Friday of the month from 6-8pm.

Movie Meetup: is at Northbrook Court or Arc Light Theater in Glenview for the viewing of a show.
Learning labs are educational and skill development programs designed for adults and 18 and older. Learning Labs focus on strengthening social skills, trying new things, working as part of a team and fostering personal growth. Our learning labs are ideal for individuals who enjoy creative hands-on learning, are able to participate in a group setting independently and can make a commitment to attend all sessions.
Yoga and Healthy Supper Club: Practice yoga and prepare, cook and eat a sensible dinner. Focus on becoming in-tune with the body and mind, learn to incorporate the principles of yoga into every day life, discuss the nutritional benefits of ingredients and healthy portions, and work as a team in a warm home environment. Register for yoga, healthy supper club or both programs. Yoga will be taught by Pam Tokowitz.

Micro-Enterprise Lab:Develop a tangible product based on our shared interests and collective talent. Create a business plan including marketing strategies and develop the packaging for our product. Present and sell our product in the community and through the use of social media. This is an introduction to micro-enterprise as a means for self-employment.
Art Lab for Everyone: Discover and grow artistic talents. Be exposed to a wide range of art mediums including woodworking, painting, drawing and jewelry. Learn how to use our vision to develop a marketable piece of art. Click here to meet your instructor

Social Media Lab: Explore the ins-and-outs of social media. Focus on responsible use across all platforms, navigation and use on preferred technology, define jargon and features and connect with friends.
NEW Fall Program: heART Words: heART words is an inclusive community for writers of all abilities. Through inspiring verbal and visual prompts, TL2C facilitators and trained volunteers will encourage self-expression of emotions, courage, imagination, experience and heart. TL2C participants will be partnered with a trained volunteer mentor who can assist in the writing process. We will create and write our responses based on the prompt we choose. Group members are encouraged to share what they have written with one another. This program is facilitated by Pam Tokowitz and Jamie Weller.
