This program is facilitated by Joan Martin and meets every Wednesday of the session at Joan's House on the Glenview/Northbrook border.
Maker’s Lab is a creative learning environment where young adults create their own products using various tools and materials. Each session includes a demonstration of skills to model, experiment, and learn at their own pace. Young adults will have the opportunity to share their ideas, skills, and talents with other makers on individual and collaborative projects. We'll create a variety of products like Signs for Home Decor, Pencil Mosaic Picture Frames, Bagel/Donut Holder for Family Brunches, and the option of Maker’s Choice using available Lab tools and supplies. Maker’s Lab participants will learn about quality control, branding, marketing, and packaging through discussions, hands-on projects, and mentorship.
